Made of a few brake hoses. Very nice little job to do.
Working with the Euroquip hose from Rallydesign and the reuseable
connectors. Also I got some transparent heat shrink for these.
The idea here is that one covering of heat shrink stops the brake
hose "filing" anything that it rubs against. Two layers mean that
the hose clips perfectly into the "knock-on" brake hose clips.
Anyway that is the plan, and it all looks pretty simple.
Put a couple of rivnuts into the chassis, for T-pieces. Not
exciting, but drilling holes into a perfectly good chassis is always a
big step!
I tried to sort out the brake balance adjustment bar. Word (on
the street) is that for SVA adjustable bars need roll pins. That
is they are not supposed to be adjusted post-SVA as that test includes
a test to confirm that the fronts will lock before the rears.
Obviously this is all a bit silly, but SVA is SVA and the
principle is a good one. Anyway I remember reading that adjusting
maximally forward would be sufficient for SVA and that is what I did.
Then I drilled a couple of nuts and popped a couple of roll pins
in. The BAD news is the the left hand one binds with the pivot of
the clutch pedal. Not quite sure what to do about this.
Probably remove the pin and nut, as the bar doesn't adjust anyway
(it is at the end of its travel). I don't really understand how
other people get around this design.

Note also the brass clutch master-cylinder extender (not very exciting, but ...).

Fitted the roll-cage. As my dad said "It looks like a real car
now". It bolted up quite nicely which was a great relief.

Bolted up the engine mounts with all the bolts and with the right high-tensile bolts.
Oh! yes. One last thing, managed to get an hour. Bolted up
the handbrake (I will need to get a new connector cable from the
handbrake to the adjuster as the one that I made is abit too bulky).
Also managed to make some progress on the gearlever (more if it
fits!), the whole tunnel is really tight as I have the handbrake stuff
inside the tunnel, also the prop is right over to the drivers side (to
help angles), so there isn't much space for the gear lever connection
shaft. I do have the option of going with a cable for the
gearchange, but that would be too easy!
